EDMONTON, AB – Miller Wilson Angus’ DMM Miss Essence – 14Y was this year’s Supreme Champion Female and Popular Meadows Angus’ HF Thunderbird 146Y was this year’s Supreme Champion Bull at the prestigious Alberta Supreme Show presented by Rafter DM Trailers and RAM on November 9 during Farmfair International at Northlands. More than $130,000 in cash and prizes were awared including a new RAM truck for each of the champions. Newly elected Edmonton Mayor, Don Iveson had the honour of slapping the Grand Champions during the Alberta Supreme which showcases the best in purebred cattle.

EDMONTON, AB – Northlands proudly produced and hosted Farmfair International from November 3-10, 2013 and the Canadian Finals Rodeo from November 6-10, 2013. As the western entertainment destination, the Wild West came alive on the Northlands grounds for the 40th Anniversary of both events. Starting with Farmfair International and ending with CFR Championship on Sunday November 10 – this was certainly an anniversary to remember.
Each November, national and international guests gather in Western Canada for two of Canada’s premier agriculture showcases, Farmfair International (FFI) in Edmonton from November 3-10 and Canadian Western Agribition in Regina from November 11-16. Farmfair International and Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) proudly host these annual events that provide the agriculture industry with a forum for sharing ideas and conducting business. In 2013, you can expect to see bigger and better international programs that will enhance Western Canada’s reputation as a leader in cattle production on the international stage.
