Mitch Jones Memorial Scholarship

Honouring a Legacy of Leadership, Kindness, and Mentorship
Mitch Jones was a dedicated purebred cattle breeder and the proud owner of Tierra Sol Cattle Company. With a deep passion for the Salers breed, Mitch was known for his keen eye for quality cattle and for raising exceptional Simmental and Black Angus herds.
Always generous with his time and knowledge, Mitch was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand or share his expertise. He was known as a gentle giant, a straight shooter, and, above all, a mentor to many within the agricultural community.
Mitch’s favourite livestock show was Farmfair International, where he played an instrumental role in launching the Farmfair International Supreme. It is, therefore, most fitting that the recipient of this scholarship will be announced during the Supreme Show.
This scholarship is established in loving memory of Mitch Jones and will be awarded to an individual who embodies the same leadership, kindness, and mentorship that Mitch so greatly exemplified.
