What is B.E.E.F. International?

B.E.E.F. International (Battle of Emerging Elite Farmers) is a one-of-a-kind international event that unites young agricultural leaders from around the world for an immersive week of competition, connection, and celebration in the heart of Canadian cattle country.

This isn’t just a cattle show; it’s a global experience!

Open to individuals aged 18–25, the event combines industry-forward challenges with educational tours, elite networking opportunities, and the chance to experience Alberta’s leading livestock showcase, Farmfair International.

Our vision is to serve as the global destination for innovative thinking that drives the continued growth of the agricultural industry. By connecting Alberta’s premier cattle event with real‑world impact, we strive to shape the future of international agriculture.

What to Expect

Over six dynamic days, participants will engage in a wide variety of experiences that blend competition, career development, and cultural exchange:

  • Develop and deliver a ‘Monetize Your Trip’ presentation that highlights how your team will turn this international experience into real-world value.

  • Social Media Competition by sharing your B.E.E.F. International journey online!

  • Grooming & Trimming, Showmanship & Judging Competitions

  • Herdsmen's Competition to interact with the exhibitors of Farmfair International

  • Disease and Treatment Competition learning innovative ways to safeguard our industry

  • Interactive Barn Tours & Behind-the-Scenes Access

  • VIP Seating at Supreme Show

  • Farm Tours, Panel Talks, and Industry Connections

  • Daily Programming with Alberta’s Top Breed Shows

How to Participate

We’re looking for passionate young agriculturalists ready to compete, connect, and grow.

Teams:

  • Applicants must be 18–25, committed to full participation (no concurrent stall work during competition)

  • Teams will be 4 individuals plus a coach, recommended not mandatory.

  • Each team must represent at least two breeds.

Coaches:

Each team is recommended to have a coach; however, it is not mandatory. An ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong stockmanship & communication

  • Dedication to youth mentorship

  • Commitment to collaboration
